ABUBA4 is a dog carrier for longer outings, crowded places, travel days, stairs and the moments your dog needs a break.

Longer outings
For the trails, rides and city days that go further than a short walk.
Why it's built this way
When a dog gets heavier, it matters where the load sits, how close the carrier stays to your body, and how both you and your dog are supported.

Helps share part of the load with the pelvis instead of relying on the shoulders alone.
Keeps the carrier closer to you as you move.
Supports your dog's back area.
Adds cushioning where the shoulders still carry part of the load.
Adjusts around the neck opening to help refine the fit.
Load distribution
Designed to redistribute part of the carrying load away from shoulder-only support and toward the pelvis.

Adjust the carrier so your dog and the backpack sit close to your body.
Place the fixed wide Hip Belt securely around your pelvis. It stays fixed in place instead of clipping on, and is made wider for a more secure position.
Let the shoulder straps and the hip belt work together, so the load is shared instead of carried by your shoulders alone.
Quick size check

Measure your dog's Sitting Back Length and Chest Girth and compare them with the size chart. Choose size by these two measurements, not weight alone. If the two measurements point to different sizes, choose the larger size.
Your dog isn't standing or hanging inside ABUBA4. They sit with their body folded much as it is when you hold them, leaning against you and the carrier.
Even a well-fitted carrier can feel unfamiliar at first. A short introduction period helps your dog get comfortable before longer carries. Walk your dog through it in five steps, at their own pace.
Every dog adjusts at their own pace. These are things we observe, not proof of comfort.
Possible tension
As your dog settles
If your dog stays tense, go back a step and slow down.
ABUBA4 is for the parts of the day walking can't cover: longer outings, crowded places, travel days, stairs, cycling and the moments your dog needs a break, or when carrying in your arms or using a stroller isn't practical.
LITE2 is the simpler, lighter setup for shorter everyday use. It comes in XS–L and has no hip belt and no Dog Back Support Cover. ABUBA4 is the all-round model for longer outings and active use. It comes in S–XL and has a fixed wide hip belt, a Dog Back Support Cover and a built-in Wind Blanket. MAX is for larger and heavier dogs. It comes in 2XL–3XL with an extra-large hip belt, and the 3XL adds the Adjust System.
No. The Adjust System is exclusive to MAX 3XL.
No. The fixed wide hip belt is designed to redistribute part of the carrying load away from shoulder-only support and toward the pelvis, so the shoulder straps and hip belt share the work. A larger dog is still a real load, so make sure you can comfortably carry your dog for the length of your outing.
Place the fixed wide hip belt securely around your pelvis, with the carrier and your dog close to your body. Then adjust the shoulder straps so the carrier does not pull away from your back.
Yes. ABUBA4 is the all-round ABUBA model for longer outings and active use, including hiking and cycling. Introduce it gradually first, following the steps under "What if my dog doesn't like the carrier at first?", and check that your dog is comfortable before longer carries.
Weight alone can't answer that. ABUBA4 has no official weight range. Its size is decided by Sitting Back Length and Chest Girth, so measure both, check them against the size chart, and choose the larger size if they point to different sizes. If you are unsure, contact us and we will help.
The first time you use it, your dog may tense up or keep trying to stand, which can make the fit feel tighter. Carry your dog for about 7 minutes while gently patting them to settle down, then check the fit again.
